Wombat State Forest LTRS, Victoria, South-Eastern Australia,
Operating since late January 2010,
Tower was rebuild and restarted in May 2024 after the original tower was destroyed in a storm in 2021.
Land cover: cool temperate dry sclerophyllous eucalypt forest,
Main tree species: Eucalyptus obliqua, Eucalyptus radiata, Euclayptus rubida
Measurement height: 30m 2010 to 2016, 33m from January 2017, 41 m from May 2024
Location: latitude: 37° 25' 20.5''S; longitude: 144° 05' 39.1''E
Elevation: 713m
Annual rainfall: approximately 871 mm (142 year long-term average)
Temp range: 1-30 °C, mean annual air temperature (2001-2012): 12.1°C
Coherent automated measurements of soil greenhouse gas fluxes (CO2, CH4 and N2O) with a trailer-mounted mobile laboratory – Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectrometer from 2010 to 2016
