Dookie3
The Dookie3 flux tower is located within an agricultural cropping area that is part of the
"Long-term Trials of Drought Resilient Farming Practices Program" on Dookie campus that includes the flux towers Dookie1 and Dookie2 as well.
The tower monitors a rotating mixed farming system with sown annual pasture, canola, wheat, sheep rotation. Crops and experimental treatments within the footprint of the tower are changing each growing season.
The tower was established in May 2025.
It is 3 m tall and features a full set of eddycovariance equipment, and micrometeorology sensors. It has two soil pits for soil moisture and soil temperature at two depths each and each soil pit has one heat flux plate.
The tower is operated by the University of Melbourne.
